MIDDLESEX COLLEGE MENS SOCCER UPENDS UNION FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

Middlesex College Men's Soccer gained their second straight win with a 3-1 win over Union College.

Union (1-7) jumped out in front of the Colts 1-0 in the first half on a penalty kick, but Middlesex (3-4) would bounce back strong in the second half.

The Colts evened the match in the 52nd minute when Juan Arboleda (Sophomore/Elizabeth, NJ) scored his second goal of the season on a beautiful shot into the far upper 90 from the right side of the 18.

Middlesex took the lead ten minutes later when Alessandro Sipaque (Freshman/Plainfield, NJ) converted a pass from Arboleda to give the Colts a lead they would not relinquish.

Emadudeen Mumin (Freshman/New Brunswick, NJ) gave Middlesex some breathing room just two minutes later with his first collegiate goal. Arboleda, who factored in all three Middlsex goals, assisted on Mumin's tally.

Jhan Paul Hidalgo (Freshman/South Amboy, NJ) registered six saves to pick up the victory in goal for Middlesex.

The Colts outshot Union 15-7 on the game.
