Angie Correia Named Head Women's Soccer Coach

Angie Correia enters her 1st season as the head coach of the Union County College's Women's Soccer program. She has been with the program as an assistant coach for five years since its debut season in 2012.  Within a few short months of Angie taking the helm of the program she has already transformed the culture of the program by bringing in a recruiting class of 20 athletes.

During her college tenure, Angie had a remarkable soccer career. She attended Dominican College in New York from 2005-2009 where she had an immediate impact to the team being named the 2005 CACC Rookie of the Year.  She was named to the All-CACC team and All-Academic team throughout her career.

In 2008, Angie was named to the Portuguese National Team where she had the privilege to represent her country. From 2008-2010 she played in several National Tournaments. She was also recruited to play for the USL W-League for NJ Wildcats.  Angie began her coaching tenure with the Elizabeth High School Varsity and Junior Varsity teams in 2009.  In addition she was a trainer for the Elizabeth Youth Soccer Club and still trains various club and high school teams in preparation for their seasons. 

Angie is presently a head coach for the U.S. Parma Soccer Club that is based out of Edison, NJ. She is currently obtains a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) C License, Mid New Jersey Youth Soccer Association (MNJYSA) License E and will soon earn her National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) License.

Angie has a Bachelor in Athletic Training and is now a Student Services Generalist at Union County College with the College Life Department.
