Flanders, NJ - The UCNJ Union Owls Golf Team competed in the Garden State Athletic Conference (GASC) Tournament on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. This tournament took place at Flanders Valley Golf Course in Flanders, New Jersey.
For the second straight season, Owl Golfer Patrick Murray was the Tournament winner. Last year, as a freshman, Murray fired a round of 79 to win the GSAC Tournament. This year, Murray fired a round of 76 including an eagle on hole 16 to win the Tournament by five strokes.
The Owl Team score of 395 was good for third place honors. Sophomores Michael Hayeck, Lucas Mincolelli, and Jacob Swann competed for the Owls. Hayeck carded his best golf round of the season. Next up for the Owls will be the Region XIX Tournament to be played on May 13 and 14 at Ash Brook Golf Course in Scotch Plains, NJ.
