Winning an athletic championship is an amazing accomplishment, but it is only part of being a student-athlete. The time that each student-athlete commits in the classroom, with their studies and their sport is exceptional, especially while in season. Quite a few Union County College student-athletes have achieved success in both academics and athletics during the 2013 fall semester.
New for the fall 2013 semester was a structured academic program for the student-athletes called Owl’s Training Camp. The program was designed to increase the academic performance for all student-athletes at the College. Throughout the fall semester student-athletes attended the Academic Learning Center 1,496 times for a total of 1,979.5 hours.
