Mario Gencarelli LAT, ATC, MS, PES, is a Board Certified and New Jersey licensed Athletic Trainer. Mario joined the Union County College Owls in September 2017 as the Head Athletic Trainer.

In 2016, Mario graduated from Kean University receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and a minor in psychology and health education. He then went on to earn his Master of Science degree at California University of Pennsylvania where he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Avella High School, as the Head Athletic Trainer. Mario is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

In addition to his position at Union County College, Mario works for the Center for Concussion Care & Physical Rehabilitation at Overlook Medical Center. At the concussion center he works in conjunction with the physicians to assist with the patients plan of care for return to life and play.
